Mr. Amos Owens, 93 Taylorsville, MS passed away on September 27, 2024, from Hillcrest Nursing Center, Magee, MS.
Mr. Owens was a lifelong member of New Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church. He enjoyed riding the bus to Mount Olive Senior Citizen Center. There was a lot of enjoyment for him to be with his peers.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lena and Leddrew Owens; stepfather, Arlee Barnes; eight brothers, Joseph, Tony, Andrew, Clinton, J. L. Floyd, Leroy, and Cleo; sisters, Ardell, Rozell, and Bernice.
Survivors include one daughter, Johnnie Pearl Barnes; one grandson, Rodney (Michelle) Barnes, all of Taylorsville, MS. ; granddaughter, Marietta, GA;
7 great-grandchildren; 4 sisters, Elnora (Charles) Pickering, Taylorsville, Burnis Harris, Laughinland, NV, Izola Banks, Las Vegas, NV, and Helen Pickering, Santa Anna, CA; brothers, Timothy Barnes, Taylorsville, Hinton Barnes, Victorville, CA and Leo Barnes, Santa Anna, CA, Johnny Haynes, Taylorsville and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Pastor Derrick Wells was the Officiant.
