Carolyn McCann Taylor, 59

Mrs. Carolyn Deniece McCann Taylor passed away on April 24, 2022, at New Orleans East Hospital, New Orleans, LA.

 

Mrs. Taylor attended St. Mary's Catholic School and Abramson High School in New Orleans.  Through her journey in life, she found time to accept God as her personal Savior.  She was affectionately known as "Maw-Maw" to her family, especially her grandchildren.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Allen and Ramona Wheeler-McCann, brother, Robert Earl McCann, and granddaughter, Richelle Russell.

 

Survivors include her husband, Leo Steve Taylor, and children, Burnell(D'Anna) McCann, Kylon, Brooklyn, Nian Bullock (John Dorsey), Nyeshia, Destiny, and Coby. Sister Annie Carroll (Hinton) Clayton-Owens; sister-in-law, Earlene McCann, many grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins of the McCann and Wheeler families.

 

Interment was in Old Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church, Collins, MS.Pastor Annie Clayton-Owens( sister) was the Officiant.
