Mr. Charles ( Nookie, Chuck or Slim) Edward Easterling, Magee, MS passed away at his residence on September 11, 2022.
Mr. Easterling was a former member of Zionell CME Church and later in life joined Mt. Olive Community Church under the leadership of Pastor Tony C. Duckworth. He attended Magee High School, Magee, MS and was a graduate of the class of 1976. He was employed with Mandal's Roofing and Sheet Metal Company, Gulfport, MS for over 17 years. He later became involved with the heating and air conditioning business. He attended Delta Technical College, Ridgeland, MS where he earned a degree in HVAC R Technician. He was also employed with Ivey Mechanical, Kosciusko, MS, Gallo Mechanical, New Orleans,LA, and Gamewell Mechanical, Salisbury, NC. In 2021 he started his own business of Easterlling Transport, LLC
He was preceded in death by his parents, M. H. Easterling and Helen Craft Easterling;sister, Christine Easterling Feazell; three brothers, M. H., Jr., C. W. and James Easterling; grandparents, Alex and Christine Williamson-Craft.
Survivors include his children, Shane Trieik Easterling, Magee, Roselyn Burton, Ridgeland, MS, Shannon(Harold) Easterling Owens, Collins, Jason(Jamillia) Easterling, Biloxi; siblings, R. B., Marillyn and Alexander Easterling, all of Magee, Myrtis(Robert) Mage, Magee, Laverne Easterling, Mount Olive and Demanuel Easterling, Hattiesburg. 9 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, a very dear cousin, Ruby McNair, Pearland, TX and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
