Ms. Deirdre Lynette Fairley, 40 passed away on January 2, 2024.
Ms. Fairley attended Covington County Schools and furthered her education at South Jones and Taylorsville High School and graduated in 2002. She was raised in the church and could be found on Sunday mornings singing in the church choir. Singing was her passion. On her last earthly journey, she asked to go to church.
Survivors include her parents, Pastor Jerry Magee and Jearleain Fairley Magee; brothers, Jerry Magee, Jr and Justin Magee all of Collins, MS. Nephew, Javon Magee; niece Julianna Magee, both of Collins. Aunts, Brenda Raymond, Jenex Fairley, Annette Keyes, Jannell Ballard, Judy Stokes, Catherine Hayes, Naomi McFarland, and Carolyn Faye, all of Collins and Tina Hawthorn (Traovn) Bassfield, MS; uncle Thomas Fairley, Las Vegas, NV; three great aunts, Paulie Fairley, Fannie McGee, Collins and Bonnie Fairley, Mount Olive. Great uncle, Hilbert Fairley, Mt. Olive; one of her mother's friends she called Aunt Tina, Laurel, MS, and a host of cousins, relatives, and friends.
