Mrs. Della Ree Durr, 82, Good Hope Community ( Mt. Olive/Magee, MS) passed away on March 30, 2022.
Mrs. Durr served the church faithfully until the very end. She was baptized at an early age. She graduated from McLaurin High School, Magee, MS, and retired from Boswell Regional Center after 40 years. Her work in the church, on her job, and in the community speaks for itself.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ike and Eula Durr; brothers, E. D., John Sharp, and Ulysee Durrr; sisters Willie Vee Durr, TheresaCrear, Roberta Durr, and Willie Jewel Young.
Survivors include children, Paul (Linda) Durr, Charla Magee, Sharon, and Sedrick Durr; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; three godsons; 3 sisters, Jessie Durr, Allene Hathorn, and Etta Newsome; 2 brothers, Lee and Jamie Durr; a dear special cousin, Eloise Williamson, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Honorary Pallbearers: Sons, Grandsons, Great Grandsons, and God Sons.
Pallbearers: Kopedia Durr, Roderick Nelson, James F. Grubbs, Clifton Durr, Winfred Conerly, Sedrick Durr, and Edison Lee.
Flower Bearers: Tasjia James, Candice Durr, Rolanda Durr, Kimble Funches, Doris Jenkins, Tiffany Gordon, and Faye Walker.
Pastor Ralph Walker was the Officiant.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, April 6, 2022, at 11 AM from . Interment was in the church cemetery. Reeves Funeral Home, Inc., Mount Olive, MS was in charge of the arrangements.
