Mr. Douglas Edward Griffith, Mount Olive, MS passed away on June 17, 2022.

Mr. Griffith was an active member of Mount Carmel Holiness Church. He graduated from Prentiss High School and later joined the Army National Guard and served with the 623rd Infantry, which later became the 155th Infantry of the Army National Guard where he served in Operation Desert Storm/Desert Shield. He retired from Georgia Pacific Resin Plant, Taylorsville, MS.
He was a very humble, peaceful, and intelligent person who loved antique cars/trucks, hunting, fishing, and gardening. He would often share his produce with the elderly and people within the community.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dannie and Lillian Griffith, brother, Otis Griffith, and sister, Jewell Griffith.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley J. Magee, Griffith, daughter, LaCreta (Johnathan) Carroll, Bronx, NY, sons, Desmond Griffith, Magee, MS and Ahmad Griffith, Mt. Olive; grandchildren, Nhala, Jewel, Johnathan, Mia, Ayden, and Jacob; sisters, Barbara Griffith, Hattiesburg, MS, Lois Griffith-Brown, Atlanta, GA, and Miriam Griffith, Mt. Olive; brothers, John Griffith, Larry Griffith, Dannie(Sherry) Griffith, Jr., Anthony Griffith, and Dexter Griffith, all of Mt. Olive; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
