Gravesite services for Mrs. Elaunda Sue Winn Rushing, 65, Magee, MS were held on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 from Zionell CME Church Cemetery.
Mrs. .Rushing passed away on December 16, 2021.
Mrs. Rushing attended Magee High SChoo where she received her diploma in`074. She continued her education at Jackson State University where she graduated in1978 with a Bachelor Degree in Speech Language Pathology. She was employed with the Jefferson Davis School District and Simpson County School District. She had a passion for education and loved to see her students be their best. She retired after 38 years of service in education.
Mrs. Rushing was a member of Zionell CME Church where she served as Director of Christian Education and was a member of the choir.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie (CW) Winn and IdaTatum.
Survivors include her daughter, Shayla (Nathaniel) Hatcher, Beauford, SC., son, Chauncey Rushing, Mt. Olive; sister, Pedronia WInn, Mt. Olive; three brothers, Charles(Mariam) Winn, Prentiss, MS, Derrick Winn,and Alywin Durr, Mt. Olive; 5 grandchildren and one God daughter, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
