Mrs. Katherine Olivia Phillips McGee, Collins, MS (Providence Community) passed away on July 23, 2022.
Mrs. McGee was a quiet and soft-spoken woman of faith and was a long-standing member of Providence Missionary Baptist Church where she was active as a Mission Mother, Usher, and Cook. She had a strong positive personality for Christ and her family. She left a legacy of love, strength, and endurance.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alvie and Willie Mae Phillips; husband, J. D. McGee; daughters, Sarah McGee and Bettie McGee Clayborn; four sisters, and one brother.
Survivors include one brother, James Phillips, Gulfport, MS; daughters, Mattie McGee, Annelle McGee, both of Collins, and Elnora McGee(Darren), Atlanta, GA.; two sons, Clarence McGee, Collins, and Ricky McGee( Deloise), Laurel, MS. 22 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren, and Godchildren; and the Woodson Family. A host of nephews, nieces, and church/community friends.
