Mrs. Loretta Jackson, Benson, 70,Collins, MS passed away on December 16, 2024.
Mother Loretta Jackson Benson joined Mt. Zion Ora at an early age and later moved her membership and joined St. John Church of God In Christ. She was devoted and active evangelism and missionary work in the church.In 2020 she began to serve as President of District 10 Mississippi Southern First Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction Church of God in Christ under the leadership of Elder Timothy Curry. In 1993 under the leadership of Pastor Willie Williams she served in the capacity as Mother of the Church, She attended Carver Central High School, Collins, MS. She retired from Forrest General Hospital-Home Health in 2016.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl L. Jackson and Myrtle Pop-Jackson; husband, Ronnie L. Benson; son, Baby Boy Benson, brothers, Edward Price, Larry Jackson, Luther Logan and stepson, Billy Benson.
Survivors include, children, Anthony(Joneise-Hall) jones, Memphis, N, Eric(Sheree) Benson, Las Vegas, NV, and Erica Benson, Dallas, TX; 7 stepchildren, Ronald (Daisy) Benson, San Antonio, TX, Vernon (Angie) Benson, Corona, TX, Sandy(Lawrence) Coles, Sposylvania, VA, Efren Benson, Huntsville, AL, Earl (Sonya) Benson, Jacksonville, FL, Mark Benson, Atlanta, Ga, and Toney(Tammy) Benson, Rockwall, TX; brothers, David( Janice) Jackson and Terry Jackson, all of Collins and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
