Mr. Monroe Sherman, 92, Mount Olive, MS passed away on August 22, 2023, at Merit Health Rankin County, Brandon, MS.
Mr. Sherman was a lifelong member of Mt. Zion Jr MB Church where he served on the Deacon Board, was a Sunday School teacher, and sang in the church's adult Choir. He attended Lincoln Attendance Center, Mt. Olive.
He was employed for many years with Blain Company, Mt. Olive, Sanderson Farms, and the Collins Veterans' Home, Collins, MS.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sylvester and Emma Jones Sherman; children, Lawrence and Marilyn Sherman; brothers, Vernon, Waltr, Syhlvester, and J. D. Sherman; sisters, Mammie Sherman Kersh, and Margie Sherman Carter.
Survivors include his devoted wife, Evelena Sherman; daughters, Teresa Sherman, Florida, Melissa Ann Rigsby and Leona Drone, New Jersey; two special devoted friends, Lucille McNair, and Mary Ruth Barnes, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
