Mr. Richard Joseph Ozment, Jr. passed away at Forrest General Hospital, Hattiesburg, MS on Saturday, March 16, 2024.
He retired from Louisiana Tech as a professor of Aviation after teaching for 19 years. He served honorably in the United States Air Force as a Captain for 16 years. He was a graduate of the Air Force Academy.
Mr. Ozmen was a member of the Okatoma Golf Club and a member of the Mount Olive Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include his son, Richard Ozment, III, Tennessee; one daughter, Rebecca M. Smith, Louisiana and four grandchildren; as well as many golfing friends.
Pastor Scott Hawthorne was the Officiant.
His cremains were laid to rest with his late wife, Kitty; his mother, father, and son, John.
