Mr. Robert Earl Barnes, 63, New Orleans, LA formerly of Collins, MS was a member of a close-knit family who cared for him dearly. He moved to New Orleans at the age of 17 and started a life forged a successful career and built a family of his own. He was employed with Rust Mack Company for decades and retired after many years of dedication to this company.
His memory will be carried on by his loving family that carries on his legacy through his children, and grandchildren who will honor his memory and teachings.
Survivors include his sisters, Juanita Boykin, Annie Lee Simpson, Hazel Hathrown, Linnda Nclaurin, Jackie Easterling, and Vanessa McLaurin; brother, James McLaurin( Sharon). Children, Robert Earl Barnes, Jr. and Demetrius Williams; grandchildren and a great-grandson and many other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Juanita McLaurin; brothers, Sandy Lee McLaurin, Willie Barnes, and John L. Barnes; sister, Brenda Lee Preston.
Pallbearers: Demetrius Williams, Tony Portis, Robert Earl Barnes, Jr., and Sandy Barnes.
