Rosie Williams, 79

Mrs. Williams died on August 27, 2024, at Merit Health in Hattiesburg, MS.

Mrs. Williams was a graduate of McLaurin Attendance Center, Magee, MS. She was an active member of Zionell CME Church and was president of the Usher Board. She enjoyed football and basketball games and baking cakes and pies. She was employed at Magnetek for 27 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Newman Smith and Everleaner Harrington Smith; husband, J. W. Williams; siblings, Wade Smith and Aaron Smith.

Survivors include daughters, Bridget Williams and Varonia Williams; five siblings, Evelyn Smith, Elvie Evans, Jack Smith, Curtis (Mae) Smith, and Archie (Etta) Smith); granddaughters, Jamilya J. Rankin, Lakeeashia Williams, Danielle Magee; grandsons, Charvis Brown, Jacari Brown, Landon Rankin; special friends, Mary Porter, Linda Smith, and Molly McNair and a host of relatives and friends.
