Ms. Vernie Mae Durr, 77, Mount Olive, MS passed away November 7, 2024, at Forrest General Hospital, Hattiesburg, MS.
Ms. Durr was a devoted and dedicated servant of the Lord. She accepted Christ at an early age. She was a caring, compassionate, loving, and loyal person to her family and friends.
She was employed with Magnetek for a number of years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Durr and Mary Lee Dyrr; brothers, William Durr and Don Durr; cousin/sister, Lucille Owens Hawthorne and son-in-law, Scottie Haynes.
Survivors include her children, Tommy Lee (Shelondia) Durr, Waldorf, MD, Connie M. Durr and Moncia R. Durr Haynes, both of Mount Olive, MS. Seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one sister, Mary Lois Berkhalter, Jackson, MS. Special sister in law, Sandra Durr, Clarksville, TN, special cousin, Yvonne Baggett; special niece, Sharlonda Burns, Goddaughters, Helen Durr, Latrice Williams, Ann Wilks, Sarita Hill, Sonya McNair, Litonda McNair and host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
